<<But life somehow gets in the way especially when planning family things with so many working and school and sports>>

When the kids have grown up, moved out and you can take care of business in your own time frame, it's not that difficult. And after many years of paying your dues, so to speak, you can really appreciate it!

KLP, I see that Colleen answered in almost the exact words I had in mind. Since it is just the two of us, and we think so much alike it is almost scary, we can pretty well do what we please, when we want to.

Just remember that the children will grow up faster than you really want them to, and fly the coop. After the "empty nest" syndrome leaves, you can enjoy the freedom.

Hell!! That dog was my designated driver. There was a time when I needed one.
