A company can have cash and for all practical purposes be bankrupt. That because it is tied up to lots of convents with its bankers. For an example look to Marconi.

Those companies cannot spend on a new fax machine without justifying the purchase. Those companies like: NT, MONI and LU are in fact being run by their bankers. Bankers that just want to protect the collateral.

Those bankers will liquidate those companies as soon as they have the first opportunity.
