Thank you for the comments. The point about mistakes not being mistakes is meant to be in the context of it all being a giant experiment. Through the last 1/3 of the bubble many wild and crazy things happen. The excesses of the last 1/3 create little more value than interesting magazine stories.

My math teachers taught me that you can't get to the last 1/3 without the first 2/3. To paraphrase Fredrick Douglas, people who want the technology with the excesses want 'rain with thunder'.
