Hello Wily...

"I don't like the paperclip guy either, but haven't learned how to eliminate him yet. The hesitation + wink on exit are particularly annoying."

Right click (on your mouse) on the paperclip guy will give you plenty of option to put him under your submission. I usually just "hide" him. More drastic action can be taken by going to the "options".

Hope it helps....

Cheers!

Thanks Wily,

I have always relied on the kindness of numerologists. <g>

It appears you are on to something with the anti-virus software. Now that you mention it, I seem to recall Norton having a file exclusion option or something which prevents scanning of several MSFT file types. I will look into it. And try the direct download again. Perhaps I need to tell it to exclude checks of *.xls files.

How long does it take to put this together? Can I change the numbers and play with my own pseudo pro formas? I would like to get a "feel" for the effect on earnings if TI's dream of the low cost leader for embedded memory apps comes true. I think it would be a lot easier just to marry LuAnn so she could do it for me, but I suspect that Lee Brown and Elizabeth refuse to pass my proposals on to her.<Hoo Hoo>

P.S. I am still enthralled by the March Holy Grail patent from TI. <g>
