All i know of the WTO is that their process takes forever, endless appeals and briefs going back and forth, such judgments as come down being open to a variety of interpretations, especially in something like this where the basic structure of our economic system is under attack by a much larger force, there is no great deal of courage in the organisation .... not much authority either - the US is not bound by any decision it makes .... the issue will be settled only in Washington DC, only if/when homebuilders and homebuyers within the US wake up to the degree to which they are being shafted by this yeller pine lobby Those squid look huge but that is likely deceptive, there is nothing in the foreground of the foto with which to gauge them .... local squid here come in to the beach at night when the eulachon are spawning, also with the smelt ... both of these little fish in large schools like the grunion of farther south, likely all closely related .... calamari yes, in fact a few months ago i started being a regular at a pub i didn't formerly like on account of a new greek cook who does calamari well, eight loonies for a large plate heaped right up, lots of fresh tsatsiki [sp?], hard to beat that .... two or three years ago i flew upcoast with a guy who was studying squid, he had some stories of trying to catch them hatching, difficult thing to do ... fascinating species, much we don't know about them yet Haven't been back to ihub lately, but i was hoping someone would question me there on my signoff with 'viva La Raza' ..... that's a reference to la Raza Cósmica of Vasconcelos - analitica.com ... sorry i don't know if it's posted anywhere on the net in english .... but while raza does translate as 'race' in english it means in this use the whole of us with our homes and/or hearts in these Américas, anybody who wants in is in, you only get kicked out for flagrant violations of the code prohibiting arrogant jerkedness, and then only to a purgatory where you are forced to live in crude huts made of old enron stock
