There's a sudden and tangible fear about deflation, which is new in its intensity and breadth. The fear is understandable with all the evidence - deflated portfolios being the most obvious and painful example.

But that contrary trader instinct - "when you're feeling bullish - go short" - might come into play here.

Just when a consensus is starting to really fret about deflation is about the time that inflation could begin to show up.

I have no charts or evidence and most trends point the other direction - But it's just the goofy way that things happen sometimes.

So, you are saying the lows, tech and non-tech, are in until many months from now?
