I mean the stocks that NEW members played after the internet boom period, when people paid him $100 a month to short $3 BB stocks, or to be told to short them when they cant...

I think you guys are talking two different time periods here. The Elgindy of 1999 was quite a different person with a different agenda than the Elgindy of 2002. In the 1999 version he worked hard establishing a reputation and did identify some great shorts and don't forget he also called some really great longs too. The 2002 version had a reputation in place which provided a high income. Needing constant praise to salve a huge ego problem he became a bullet-proof scam buster of BB stocks. Even though his exposure of a few stocks on Insidetruth were well done, I have heard that some of his BB shorts on his site were disasters. That doubled with the fact that many people could not establish off- shore accounts caused some unhappiness. Frankly, after his court battle with Tyson I thought his mind had wandered quite a bit off center.
