Good evening to you too, Carl.

on that day this method of global arrogance would come to a dead end. This, he said, is because the use of a nuclear bomb in Israel will leave nothing on the ground, whereas it will only damage the world of Islam."

How do you interpret "this method of global arrogance", which will come to an end on the day Iran has nuclear weapons? The most logical interpretation, the one taken by most reports, such as the one LindyBill cited, are that it refers to colonialism=the existence of Israel. The threat is clear and overt.

A threat which Israel has never made, since it has never openly declared its possesion of nuclear arms, nor has it used them to conquer, say, Damascus. Therefore, if you ask what Israel has nuclear weapons for, the answer is clear -- self defence. A not unnatural desire on the part of a nation that has been threatened by destruction three times in its brief history.
