<<days and ounces of gold production that might be lost along with hope it will have a favorable impact on the gold price.
Not exactly mourning, IMHO.>>

Quote from first page of thread:
"The purpose of this thread is very simple: To monitor/analyze those factors affecting the price of gold, long-term, short-term, and in-between, and to determine where we currently stand in relation to those factors. Comments on the rest of the precious metals complex are also encouraged"...

Unfortunately, that is mostly true. But I REMEMBER posting in mourning about the terrible loss of life just a few years back when a certain mine in so. Africa lost almost 300 miners in a horrible accident underground. International community was riveted for days on that.

And then the terrible AIDs epidemic decimating villages and wiping out the middle aged working class of both men and women...that is horrid as well.

Puts today's efforts mining rescue efforts and successes x 9 into strong bias relief.

Bob, did you ever say if is this a gold price rally or not? Did you ever decide if this is a death of the bull market or not? Bullion desk showing 304.85 305.35.

Hello, Bob. Did you happen to catch the Aaron Brown "Segment 7" newsbyte last night on the upcoming auction of the 1933 St. Gaudens? There was plenty of footage showing the coin itself. And the final fun fact was the tidbit about the winner would have to pay the final bid (plus buyer's premium) PLUS A $20 BILL in a separate and ancillary transaction in order to pay the US$ for making the "round gold disk" and turn it into a "coin" under our current laws because seniorage has never been paid on the stolen 10.

Have the trade rags picked up on this piece of important trivia.

I hope you will get to be the first to post on this Gold Price Monitor, the price of that Gold "disk" <grin>

When will the sale be? I've forgotten already.
