Ish, what was truly horrifying was the accident we witnessed going up to Cambia. Sarkie was driving behind a big tractor-trailer, knowing he was attempting to do his best to get into the righthand lane. We were going up a hill and the third lane opened up. The guy had his blinker on and was about 2/3 into the right lane when a dang black 3/4 ton pickup zips past and tries to get through the small space between the trailer and the tractor trailer ahead of him in the right lane. Well, he made it but the tractor-trailer right ahead of us had to swerve to avoid hitting him, touching the other tractor trailer ahead of him. Debris flew, he went up the hill on the other side of the highway.

It was a miracle no oncoming cars were in the southbound lanes.

It was a miracle (and a credit to Sarkie's driving) that we were far enough behind to avoid the debris and kept others from hitting it.

These truck drivers must be fearless - in order to deal with the driving public.

We stopped, of course, to give our statements to the highway patrol.
