If switch adds work, I postulate we should see it first reflected in the much vaunted percentage of Apple purchasers in the retail stores who are windoze converters. Alternatively, the switch adds might prompt more apple owners to upgrade and mask the percentage numbers, but then we would see an upsurge in unit sales and presumably market share. Believe me, though, these numbers are available to Apple management and if they were favorable, they would be brandishing them high and wide. So my best guess is the impact has been minimal.
Maybe the only (desperate as it is) hope is to make OSX for PC.
Apple is living in interesting times.
