I think there's about as much chance of Jobs bailing out on Apple as there is of Microsoft buying the company.

Remember, Jobs is the one who hired John Sculley by asking him if he wanted to peddle sugar water or change the world. He is very dedicated to his vision despite his strife over the ensuing years.

Come to think of it, if the Justice Department could live with it, there might be quite a few synergies to be exploited between Apple and Microsoft. Old Softie might just slam the Intel PC world with an Aqua alternative.
