Improvisational wizards moe. are bringing the third annual moe.down festival back to Turin, N.Y. Held at the Snow Ridge Ski area at the base of the Adirondacks, the event covers Labor Day weekend, with moe. scheduled to play an impressive six sets over the course of three days.
Other artists on the bill include the Derek Trucks Band; Medeski, Martin and Wood; Galactic, Jazz Mandolin Project, Particle, and Dr. Jah.
Tickets for moe.down are on sale now and an early purchase brings the best deal. Three-day passes, which include camping, are $75 until August 5, after which the price jumps to $90.
Coinciding with moe.down festival is the release of moe.'s three-disc, live album. Titled Warts And All - Vol. 2, the album features a live performance - in this case, the February 23 show at The Tabernacle in Atlanta - voted for by fans.
Moe.down comes in between moe.'s summer run with Les Claypool and the kick off of Robert Plant's tour, which finds the jam band supporting from September 2-13. After that, moe. launches a fall tour with a two-night stand at New York's Beacon Theatre.
