MILWAUKEE, July 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Metavante Corporation, the financial technology subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE: MI - News), today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Spectrum EBP, LLC, an open, interoperable switch for exchanging online bills and payments. Spectrum is a privately held, Atlanta-based company that was founded in 1999 by J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM - News), Wachovia Corporation (NYSE: WB - News), created by the September 1, 2001 merger between Wachovia Corporation and First Union Corporation, and Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC - News).
