Why am I not surprised? The movie industry loves to manipulate our thinking. Another case in point: Yesterday I watched the movie "Platoon" on tape for the first time since I saw it in a theatre. I distinctly remember the first time I came away in awe of how utterly horrible war is. Yesterday, with the benefit of time and contemplation behind me, I saw dozens of little thought manipulations scattered all through it. I'm not a veteran, but I wonder how those of you who experienced Nam view this movie now. There has to be some truth to the fragging aspect of it. A relative spent his entire Marine Corps career prosecuting fragging cases. I.e., the company was innocent and Erin et al., though they won (extorted) a settlement, were wrong.
