The old adage, "He who has the gold makes the rules" is still applicable. The Fed just prints theirs. Democrats and Republicans both answer to bankers who are unconcerned with the differences between the two parties. One of the biggest misconceptions by people on both the left and right is that the Fed answers to either political party.

I like your analogy about Enron! That is one way to look at it.

Glad to see you were checking out the book. It will open your eyes on how our monetary system works. You should read the last chapter, where it talks about his solution to the problem. I liked his idea but I don't think America would buy it. People would see it as too much of a sacrifice. We have become a short sighted, immediate gratification country.

Interesting website you have linked. I will have to check it out later.
