Susan, I read about the GDP revisions in April. The WSJ said that the state numbers showed the Fed's over-estimated personal income by about $90-Billion last year. When adjusted, this should wipe out most if not all of last year's 1.2% growth according to what I've read.

Translation - last year's recession was much worse than anyone knew, and the anemic rebound from that recession does not bode well for the next several quarters.

They also indicate 1% growth could be lopped off of 1999 and 2000 also in this release.

Productivity growth is also going to be written down. This report is going to be a big eye opener for those not looking for bad in the news.

Anyway, even if the CC number is good, the market should get whacked by the GDP and productivity revisions on Wednesday.

My weekly "Out of the Box" XAU update. A little off time wise, but it kinda did what I thought it would do. Only thing that didn't happen was the double top I expected prior to the tank. Had that push down last week not happened, we could have been on our way to that double top in the black box. At least, it looks like I got the major trend line right (pink), cause it bounced at the support line of this major channel.

I of course blew with my timing and got a little spanked around on Friday. Chickened out of my DROOY long this morning. Need to spend time going over my trading plan. Too many distractions, and too much noise cause me to lose focus.

So. What's going to happen going forward, now that we have three successful tests of the support line, and the other indexes are at a point of making their own major moves for however long that new trend will last. Hhhhmmm. Could we be at a buying opp here in precious metals for what could be one hell of a ride... up perhaps ?
