>>You are now trading<<

Not really. Free cash flow goes into US equities periodically. With the rampant fear and daily declines of a couple of weeks ago, it seemed like a good time to clean out the loose change jar.

>>if your intention is to pull out your long long before the in-trend decline starts in earnest once more<<

Nope. That's not my intention. You should know what I am doing - you've heard it often enough.

>>pulverizing that much more home equity in a casino-like style<<

You are the master of the back-handed slap.

>>You are investing for the long long term, if not trading.<<

Bingo. Will probably never spend the money. But also, as you know, I see the journey we are on arriving at a very different destination than you do.

hi Jay when you have a chance i have a question on your currency allocations...why so much in the U.S. dollar ? fwiw, except for my gold stock holdings, my total U.S. dollar holdings include the single picture of George Washington in my wallet and some old Amex travellers cheques i take on holidays in case my wallet gets lifted...

Hi Jay,

What are your thoughts on these companies that trade or operate in your neck of the woods (roughly speaking)?

Chaoda Modern (682) Hong Kong
Cafe de Coral (H.CCG) Hong Kong
Lotte Chilsung Beverage Co. Ltd. (Q.LCB) South Korea

No, I'm not invested in them. They happened to be mentioned in an article in the WSJ, and I was wondering about them. I've actually heard of two of them, Cafe de Coral and Lotte Chilsung, and if I remember correctly, it was favorable press for both concerns. But I was wondering what the Asian perspective might be on these young companies.

Thanks for any insights you may have to offer, and I hope your having a good trip...
