His strongest argument is that the NYSE printed several large ticks.

It is amazing how quickly people forget the panic of bad news. All it will take is a debt downgrade, bad economic number, or some other thing which quickly brings exuberance down to earth, and we will puke.

I can not see how a run of high ticks, and we had a doozy today, is bullish. Plot the tick on an intraday, say a 60min, through a moving average on it that uses "Average(High,Low)" and look at what happens when the moving average gets too high. Maybe I am missing something.
