The IBD I saw, about a week ago, advised folks to stay out of the market at least until it stops dropping, then look for small caps that have put in bases and are breaking out.

JCOM _ wow, I remember that one. I didn't see that much in a pager company, but that's a tight float.
Barron's has a profile this week on a tiny mutual fund (now closed to new money) that's up something like 1,400 percent since 1997. He holds a stock for an average of 60 days, and is an aggressive short-seller.
Really makes me wonder how some privately-managed accounts for the wealthy have been doing.
