You can look at Talisman financials and see if you are comfortable with the cash flow to pay the dividends. I have owned a position for a while. They also have a preferred B with less yield. Tommaso on this thread owns the stock or at least last time we had talked about the company he owned the stock. This preferred has traded between 25.19 and 26.50 depending on how close they are to the pay out. I don't think very many folks know about it. It traded ex dividend this morning and that is always a good time to buy.

I recently held a 8.25% preferred from an energy company that got called and was looking for a replacement. This is the best I have been able to find in a company with a product that is required for human survival. <g>

I do not have a lot of experience with income trusts.
