Fourth quarter income before items missed Thomson First Call's consensus estimate of 2 cents a share excluding goodwill.
Cree Inc. (CREE), citing increased demand for its LED products, increased its first quarter revenue and earnings targets.The semiconductor company now expects to report operating earnings of 4 cents a share on revenue of $45 million, which would represent a 20% increase over fourth quarter revenue.
In June, Cree raised its fourth quarter outlook, again citing demand for LED products, and said it expected revenue growth for the first quarter of at least 5% on a sequential basis.
