more honest than the more broadly popular "Democracy in Iraq" neocon propaganda line.

I guess you catch hell no matter what you do. The left Historians are all over "41" for not kicking out Saddam and putting in a Democracy. Now the left thinks that "43" is just "blowing smoke" about trying to install a Democracy in Iraq.

We did a damn good job of putting one in for Japan and Germany. I don't know why it is so unthinkable that we could not be successful in Iraq. Or is it that the left thinks "43" doesn't want a democracy in Iraq for some reason?

In Afghanistan, we are "damned if we do, and damned if we don't." We made it possible for that country to have elections. If they still want to spend their time killing each other, it is not our fault. If we sent troops in to knock out the Warlords and try to force democracy, we would be pilloried for occupying the country.
