jtech, As I'm sure you know it's very difficult to convince most investors about the benefits to owning gold and gold mining shares. Most point to the fact that over time gold has been a poor performer, I OTOH point to the large short positions held by the JP Morgans of the world and the fact that when Greenspan fires his last bullet and it fails like the rest, the fiat currencies of the world will be in big trouble. People are going to wake up one day and realize the markets are a giant house of cards...just like the day they woke up in March of 2000 and decided CSCO was no longer worth a 200 P/E and pro forma earnings was a bunch of BS! Sure, this is doomsday stuff but WTF!
