They probably meant line widths <100nm (i.e. 90nm). That coincides with industry manufacturing roadmaps for next year

That I'll believe, but the sad fact is, that's still not technically right. The 90nm node will utilize linewidths of roughly 45nm. Line widths (if you use channel widths) have been at 100nm or less since the 0.18 micron node.
