KG4 not to be mean but you say the same thing every time you post, its getting on my nerves, sorry. We all understand how great it is for you to be buying these great companies for the future and if I was 38 I could throw money away too, your only worse case scenerio is you will win some and lose some but 20 years is a long time and anything can happen. Who knows in 20 years maybe the computer will be replaced, autos will be solar, cell phones long gone replaced by a chip in your palm that you talk into. But the problem for me is in 20 years I will be a old woman if Im even here, so for me to invest in the stock market< I need it to show me that it can make me money alot sooner than 20 years. So many of us old folks have lost alot of their cushion for the future, by believing in buy and hold. We who put money into the market at r prime, in good stocks like mrk, sbc,at&t,etc, that was done many many years ago, in my case 15, have seen all profits been lost.......its a sad day for us, who have worked so hard to see it disappear when we need it the most. Its just not funny anymore, r childrens education funds r suffering, so no ggg for me.
