as a short explanation on my two "under development systems", the aggressive and the semi .....

I run *(CULLED down to thirty six screens NOW)
on QCharts with

A) various time frames ---- 1/2/3/5/10/60/360 with various simple moving averages (differs from time frame to time frame)

B) various symbols --- es, nq, rut, dji, comp, spx, sox, and various others (depending upon the market)

C) tick, trin, and vol

D) variously adjusted Bol Bands, Regression, Retracement, Projection, and Envelope lines on all the above A) and B)

E) MACD, Stoh, RSI, Choppiness, Directional Movement, and a few other on a lot of A) and B)

F) Rate of Change on the Rate of Change *(homemade analysis tool) ---- this one is important to my judgements *(I'll explain a bit at the bottom of this post)

G) Nasdaq HeatMap

H) Indexes daily UPs and Indexes daily DOWNs

I) Money flow

J) Large Block transactions

that about covers it .....

unfortunately this is all put together in a haphazard manner in which my subjective judgement is much too important --- I'm *(and have been diligently working on simplification for three years now) trying to get it to a total mechanical reaction, but haven't been successful --- well, to some degree I have ...ggggg

as to the Rate of Change on the Rate of Change ...
I have illustrated this to help understand what I do with it by using it in horse races ....

I came up with this method of analysis waaaaaaaaaay waaaaaaaay back in the days of the old TI programmable calculator *(seems like it was a TI 59)(before popular use of computers) --- I said waaaaay back .... this was before I purchased my first TRS model 3 Radio Shack or my Osburne, or my Sinclair, or various other ones you youngsters haven't even heard of and an IBM 8086 ((((GOLLY was it FAST))))) ---
in my handicapping of horses ...

it is a relatively easy calculation (by machine, not in your head) to determine the speed at which a horse travels from furlong to furlong ---
feet per second OR miles per hour -- I like ft/sec better
BUT
I found that in calculating the rate of change in the actual speed that feet per second per feet per second was MUCH more valuable ...

yep, that is what I said ---- feet per second per feet per second ...

this gives a decimal figure which I carry out to ten places ...

that is the same basic thing I do with the market ----

rate of change per rate of change ...
as the price changes it generates a ROC graphable with QCharts
and I take it further by analyzing the rate of change of the rate of change ------ *(verrrry simple, no?????? .. hehehe)

this is very aptly illustrated by the sudden drop at 10 this morning .....
the ROC was rapid
but the ROC of the ROC led me to change direction on BOTH the aggressive and the semi ...

that is all, folks ...... gggggg
