Huh? I understand that the Bush Administrations get credit for everything that's good, and the Clinton Administration gets blamed for everything bad, but you lost me here. The end of Rubin's run as Treasury Sec. isn't even within shouting distance of the beginning of the recession. If you want some credibility you should at least blame it on Summers. Even he finished out a few months ahead of the recession, but at least it's closer in time. Not to worry, I'm sure the dynamic leadership of O'Neill will pull us out of this.

In essence, The Ferret would have a problem reporting on CEOs pillaging their own companies at their shareholders' expense, since (according to a Barrons article last year) her father-in-law did the same to a Philadelphia-based insurance company in the '90s. According to the Barrons article, Mr. Steinberg pulled some stunts that would make Kenneth Lay blush.
