Chief: With regards to the depletion of capital in every pension fund there is a segment tonight on that subject on 60 Minutes II at 8 EDT. It was about thirty five years ago when the Motor City was burning in that black day in July. I think it could get ugly when that state of denial has passed. The greatest generation won't take kindly to having been royally fleeced. You're right about the whole thing hinging around Al. I thought W should have dumped him as soon as he sat in the Oval Office, considering his fathers' experience. Perhaps too late now and the only consolation is he can be used as the ultimate scapegoat when the time is right, about six months before reelection. Maybe you don't have to be mad to short, just cynical enough. Anybody know Elder's psychological take on the last year and what's happening now? Regards Bob
