Ok, I can respect that.

I think we can agree that all questioning of US intentions is not Chamberlaineseque :-) However, saying there are no circumstances providing justification for striking against an enemy developing WMD is equally silly. Particularly when they don't function like rational nation-states.

I think Israel was perfectly justified in '67. The arabs were massing armies on the borders and the leaders of Syria and Egypt stated publically they would drive the Israeli's into the sea.

The debate today revolves around this same principal. Do we believe what Iraqi or Iranians say they will do with WMD?

Imagine if Israel started talking about wiping our all arabs - don't you think we might start thinking about how to hit their nuclear or biological programs? If we had credible intelligence to that effect - what do you think we would do?
