The Pols actually "attacked" Germany on the morning of September 11, 1939. Bet you bit into that story, too...

Baldur, I cannot go along with an internal cause for 9/11. You may be selling Osama bin Laden a little too short in the intelligence factor. I do agree that there have been a lot of problems within the CIA, and the FBI, which was mainly caused by their competitive attitudes instead of the cooperation that is necessary to defend this nation. There now seems to be a plan to bring all of our intelligence organizations together, and such cooperation is a must to clean up any and all messes that have been built up over the decades. We must also remember that the CIA was decimated when the columnist, Jack Anderson, published all of the names of secret operatives in Eastern Europe during the cold war, and got every one of them killed. The man should have been hung for that. Such a blow not only hampers the capability of an agency, but is a terrible blow to their morale.

I won't go into the cause of the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese because that is a very sore subject with a lot of people.
