I assume if you are disposing of the physical wealth of by gone times I suspect you are "downsizing" your accommodations and possibly heading towards a condo or another less "maintenance intensive" dwelling. Will you be staying in the White Rock area or is there some consideration towards becoming a permanent "snow bird"?

If your wife is anything like mine it will be much easier to talk about "getting rid" of certain items then actually parting with them........ I suspect I could probably supply the local Walmart for a few weeks with the "inventory" we have built up over the decades.

I would be happy if the estimate of the VA contract at $250,000 turned out to be a floor, or at least roughly accurate.

There aren't a lot of players in this market who are large. The sales to Puerto Rico suggest that state or municipal governments might be a possibility. But governments, like emergency rooms, currently face a fiscal crisis.
