Well.....I wasn't really arguing the point, but since my target is lower....

I think part of the answer was shown in the consumer confidence numbers yesterday. If the consumer is what has been keeping the economy afloat and now s/he is tapped out on all of the his/her credit cards and has already bought a new car on 2% credit and just got laid off after taking out a home equity loan, well, where is s/he going to come up with the cash to spend oodles on christmas gifts for the neices and nephews this year?

And then there is the other answer....for the same reason that the nasdaq went to 5100.
