Two things are killing AMD right now (well, actually it could be quite a list, but let's stick to 2):

1. Celeron, esp. the P-4/Willy-cored ones; and
2. Duron.

Go read the NVDA and AMD conference call coverage: AMD is losing market share to Intel. Nvidia is losing market share (5% in the past year) to Intel integrated graphics solutions. What kind of systems ship with integrated graphics--high-end P-4s or low-end Celerons?

From TheInquirer:

" System integrators in Europe have told the INQUIRER over the last three months that AMD appears to have lost something of its edge, while Intel on the other hand has gone out of its way to woo the white box channel.

That suggests to us, in Europe at least, that the loss in market share is not necessarily an anomaly."

Enthusiasts hate the Celeron. Purchasing Officers love it.
