Hi Angler and all,
Up very early today working as I am snowed under with work. I'm staying with my heavy cash right now, although I've been looking at utilities for income...Money market rates are ridiculously low. I've looked at DUK and TE, both of which I've owned five or six years ago.

I'm going to wait to buy in earnest until after September 11 to start making any real decisions.

FSUTX, the utility fund from fido used to mainly be telecon stocks. I like GUT, a closed end fund from Gabelli that is utilities. I am looked at CEFs again.

I have reduced my gold holdings for the time being. The price is manipulated more than the books from ENRON. S

Angler, I agree about being in cash if we hit Iraq. I think the last war the market went down, then really recovered. I guess when the bombs start to fall, buy.

Whether that is a good FOREIGN policy or not (Saddam probably has a copy of the war plans, additionally) I have my doubts. Save a few bombs for Iran, they really need them. IMHO.
