Re <<I am currently holding a semi equipment maker, CHPC>>

Chippack is not a equipment maker. They are an assembly house. They buy back end equipments and use it to provide packaging and testing services.

Market Research shows them to be in the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials sector. And actually, they package chips and attach them to circuit boards........but thanks for correcting me........I think.

Re <<...not sure whether they are taking share or what but its clear they are getting good business and expect more sequential growth for the next two quarters.>>

Again, you are misunderstanding Chipack's business. Back end assembly houses are recovering from abysmal capacity overhang that peaked last year. All assembly houses have recently reported and forecasted sequential rise in revenues and earnings. CHPC is not an exception by any means.

How was I misunderstanding Chipack's business.........again? I said conditions were improving but I was unsure of the reason. In fact, the strength of the improvement in business conditions is uneven among the assemby houses. Since CHPC is doing better than most, that led me to think that CHPC may be stealing some share. Don't shoot me if I'm wrong.

Having said all that, I sold my position this AM. In fact, I sold most of my longs this AM.
