I was amazed when Simon said she should win the contest. Up until a couple of weeks ago, Simon was telling Christina he was in love with her, so he's a fickle guy. Tamyra can sing and has presence, but to me there's something not... important about her voice. I've been picking Tamyra from the beginning. The judges are right that she's the most consistent. She has been very good every single time from day one. Perhaps it's that she's older than the others and more settled in her style. She would make a good winner, IMO, but I'm finding others more interesting because each seems unique, fresh. I imagine that Simon, though, whose record company will be awarding a contract to the winner, would put a high priority on consistency.
