it is often an undeniable technicality.

far too often the company is question is writing checks to purchase stock that they just issued out in options. the purpose is to offset the dilution created by the option - something not required if the options weren't granted.

last i checked, those billions weren't monopoly money, they were company money.

this is an undeniable fact.
