it's the issue for me - investors are still in love with and clinging to this stock like it's gold (which is in accumulation phase now -g).

yeah, the company may be great and maybe management is great - it doesn't necessarily make it a great investment...

people's reactions are as valid an investing point as any discussion of the facts, since emotion and fear/greed are such a big part of short term moves (as good as vix or P/C).

as for fiction, the longs here and on other threads are much better at fiction than i'll ever be... maybe qvr should spend his time censuring all posts?

mm - Well I reemmber what you predicted about 10% unemployment a few months ago. I have this awful feeling that you will be more right than wrong.

As for the q how ironic that it should be coming into the blooming spring of its life right in thre middle of what looks mre each daay like a global economic collapse or at least a US economic collapse.

If Citigroup can take a 40% haircut in a few weeks how can we moan about poor old QCOM.

It is now August and just about everyone said that PCS would launch 1X in August so we shall soon see,

As for the recent downgrades who can blame them. Q has hekld up against all the odds at a time when just about every other wireless player has seen its business badly hit.

It must be logical that if the US economy is at incipient collapse then why not issue a downgrade since Q simply can't stand against this kind of tide. Here is Q with no debt and actual growth in earnigns and revenues and looking like it will get een better......to us ...but not to analysts since the street will pay more attention to the downgraders than to us.

What a historic time. Id the markets are lower at the end of this year then thats a record for seventy years. How if they are lower NEXT year than this year?? I wonder if anyone has considered that one.

Best,

L
