That's a really good post, Patricia. I agree about Anita Hill, what a piece of work she was. Interesting that as part of the group that created the rules of conduct, she never said or did anything for years when it was her duty to say something. People like that and Sherren Watkins of Enron who are only interested in covering their own butts make me as sick as wrongdoers.

Dear Patricia: Well, you sound as though you are a very competent, well adjusted woman with a secure feeling about yourself. Many arent (men too) and can be "abused" by persons in power above them. Personally, I do not approve of such behavior. As to the hookers and all, that is entirely different, no one was forced into anything. Far as I am concerned the "oldest" profession ought to be left alone. I never have understood the BIG DEAL over it. As to the hypothetical secretary incident, actually, that once happened to me even worse she kept calling me at home causing spousal problems. I ended up having to fire her. I guess it was the workplace "sex" thing in reverse. (gg) My last secretary was the best I ever had. She was beautiful, intelligent and a lot of fun. I used to tease her that I was going to replace her with a male so no one would WONDER. haha. jdn
