Thanks for the link to the CIO IT spending poll. The last chart on page 8 shows that they projected a better future when things were going well.

I hope the forecast for improved spending is based on need and not an assumption that recovery will be here and budgets will relax. Our IT spending is severely restricted to cut operations costs due to business economic conditions.
The ray of hope in the report is the IT spending portion to support ecommerce which would be a real driver for productivity based IT spending.
