Here's some classics from today's market wrap (my emphasis)-

"I was feeling reasonably good that we were making a bottom and now this has made me concerned," said Philip Dow, director of equity strategy at RBC Dain Rauscher. "I really think that if you are not concerned about the economic reports, then there might be something wrong with you."

This one is probably better:

Fresh reports showing U.S. manufacturing growth nearly ground to a halt in July and construction spending fell for a second straight month in June added to a growing pile of data hinting at a listless economy. The government said a day earlier the nation's economy grew at an unexpectedly slow pace during the second quarter.

"Investors are extremely nervous -- almost paranoid," said Ned Riley, chief investment strategist at State Street Global Advisors, which oversees $800 billion. "The paranoia comes from making a decision and having it turn about to be devastatingly incorrect."

No shit, Sherlock.....
