You actually think those liberal and conservative labels make a difference?

Uh, yes, I do. I must admit, in '92, I didn't -- I thought they were all the same. But that was after 12 years of conservative administrations. I had forgotten what it was to have a liberal in office (the "grass is always greener" syndrome). But after 8 years of of sleeze, yes, there is more than ever, a "difference".

I don't find George Bush has a willingness to "say whatever it takes to get elected". I do find the liberals will. In fact, Bush 41 was accused of "not caring" whether he got re-elected or not. And I think Bush 43 will be glad to pack up and go home when it is over. Clinton, till this day, would say anything or do anything if it would get him back in office.

The relaxed attitude that "both parties are alike" is what brought us the sleeziest presidency in American history, and we are paying for it big time today. So, yes, there is a difference.

As to Ms. Harris, she does appear to be relatively dumb

You're saying she is "dumb" based on what? The fact that she made a simple, insignificant mistake? A lot of awfully smart people have made dumb mistakes (Bill Gates has developed software that nobody bought. I don't see you calling him "dumb").

Dumb means something different from "made a dumb mistake". "Dumb", in its common meaning, refers to a person who is apparently unintelligent or stupid.

It is okay, though. Liberal namecalling is a way of life.
