What the lady has to do with her 500K. That 500K the old lady has is -most probably- fruit of hard work or savings which Chinese are known for.

The lady is in her mid-seventies. She hasn't got much time, strength or health to do much with that money. Instead of lose time time -which she has very little- to analyse and decide what to do with her money, she should that money, which is not going to generate much interest as we already discovered here in the BBR, she should spend it and enjoy the rest of her days.
