This is because it shows how much you believe in it and how much you're behind the transaction. But posting the size (rather than the %), doesn't provide sufficient data to draw any such conclusion. This is because in this world, aside from the richest person in the world, there always will be someone who has more financial wealth than you, as well as someone who has less than you. $20,000 could be a lot for the later and not much for the former. So, it could be a no-win proposition to mention the size of your transaction, because you could risk either offending someone who has less -or- if you judge yourself by your financial wealth you could possibly embarrass yourself in the former case. What would have value, is if one provides the transaction's percent of portfolio (and only those liquid investments one directly manages.) What also has value, is if one provides a % return over a period of 10 years, 5 years, 2 years, and 1 year. Such information would be useful. But the size isn't. Regards, Amy J
