I opposed the merger, but now that it's done, it looks like it's going OK. There are some opportunities that were being overlooked internally on the HP side where the CPQ people are now recognizing the opportunities and may be better able to pursue them. I'm talking about one example of course (and I can't even be specific), but I'd think there are others. And if the "historical Compaq employees" can improve HP's "cold dead fish" marketing, then that's another plus.
