I'm proud to say I avoided the TEFQX pick although I was considering it at the time of Bob's recommendation mainly because he played it up so much.

It suggests that even as the market was peaking, Bob didn't really believe his own model. A model that must have been giving mixed signals which resulted in a tepid 65% bearish stance. Clearly not enough to take seriously enough to commit to a shorting strategy which he had said in the past he would take if he got a bear market indication.

And so one wonders, is the model any better in a bear market? Only time will tell. Of course, as the market declines, the risk of entry declines also and the need for a model is negated. It's value will be in calling the CB's. For this, we all get to watch the testing phase.

Like a seasoned batter going up against a struggling pitcher, we may want to just take the first pitch.
