I'll start with Marr.

I just finished Marr. Can see why she impressed Tek. She sure has Iraq down cold. I finally got around to reading Mendelson's review of Talbott's book in FA. We have read a lot recently about Bush's closeness to Putin, but I had no idea that Clinton was that "Buddy-Buddy" with Yeltson. These personal relationships between Heads of State sure are a two-edged swords.

Stories about Russia always end up discussing the Alcohol consumption. It sounds like the Russians spill more than we Irish drink. Not only was Yeltson a complete drunk, but the Russian Army always ends up in their cups, as the Balkans' part of the story details.

Just finished reading "The Boy Genius and the Mogul," the story of Philo T Farnsworth, Sarnoff, and the birth of TV. It is a fascinating run-through of the rise of TV, well worth your time. It does Philo justice without demonizing Sarnoff.
