Some more on me and cops in a case in which I was in the minority. So I think I've pretty well demonstrated on SI that my starting point in the Coleman case is as a generically pro-cop citizen.

We are SO lucky in this country. Three snippets from an emailed newsletter I get from The Economist:

Tehran's Revolutionary Court sent 33 members of the IRAN FREEDOM
MOVEMENT to jail for up to ten years and outlawed their party. They
were charged with trying to overthrow "the holy system" of government
with new ideas.

EGYPT sentenced Saadeddin Ibrahim, a respected Egyptian academic, to
seven years' imprisonment, in effect for criticising the government.
Separately, an Egyptian military court imprisoned 16 Islamists, most of
them academics or professionals.

In EQUATORIAL GUINEA, Fabien Nseu Guema, an opposition leader, got a
year in jail for insulting the president, Theodoro Obiang Nguema.

[On this this thread, there's hardly a day that passes without someone doing that. TP wuld be doing life plus 1,000 years by now.]
