No, seriously, it may be the late days of the Republic alright, but some kind of Imperator, Pontifex Maximus, Defensor Populi etc Augustus is nowhere (yet) to be seen.

Maybe they have to need some Brutus and Ides of March first...

[EDIT] I am prolonging unwittingly the completely useless King discussion of previous posts. I'll let it stand tho - I want to have some fun too;

Anyhow, I am still convinced that a discussion about Republicans, Senatum Populumque Americanum is more on topic here than some deep thoughts on Kings - what about equal opportunities act?! There's Queens, even in NY you can find one...

For Kings of the above nature we know they had their booms and their busts, and the recovery (see for instance Simeon GotaKoburski or whatever that Bulgarian Simple Simon is called. Not to mention Alexander aka Aco Karadjordjevic) is way off-screen.
